Emergency services celebrated at Coolum Primary School

Emergency services this week attended Coolum Primary School for the Under 8’s Day.

Coolum Police attended with QFES, QAS, Surf Life Saving and other community groups to give the children an introduction into emergency services and other community and sporting groups.

The Under 8’s had their parents, grandparents and siblings attend who spoke to Coolum Police and Volunteers in Policing about a range of issues and were encouraged to sign up to the Sunshine Coast myPolice blog.

The kids were shown through the police car and were educated in the use of triple zero (000) calls for emergency only.

QFES and QAS also attended and had their appliances and vehicles on display for people to see. Coolum Surf Club attended and gave the children advice on surf safety and competition via a mini flags “fun” race.

Many people asked Senior Constable Fisher general advice and also provided information on a range of issues in their area which police will follow up on.

We’d like to thank Coolum Primary School for having us.
